Korean War
The Korean War (1950–1953) on the Korean Peninsula was a major Cold War conflict sparked by the North Korean invasion of the South. U.S. and UN forces intervened, followed by Chinese entry, resulting in a stalemate and permanent peninsula division, which globally expanded containment.
