Ellen Louise Axson
Ellen Louise Axson was an accomplished painter and the first wife of President Woodrow Wilson. As First Lady, she combined her passion for art with dedicated social activism, supporting slum clearance and housing reform in Washington, D.C., until her passing during her tenure in 1914.
