Byron Patton Harrison
Pat Harrison was a leading Mississippi senator who chaired the powerful Senate Finance Committee during the height of the New Deal. He was instrumental in securing the passage of the Social Security Act of 1935 and coordinating wartime revenue measures prior to his passing.
