John Fisher: Catholic Martyr and Scholar

Born in Beverley, John Fisher was a devout Catholic bishop and Cambridge chancellor. He resisted Henry VIII’s marital annulment and royal supremacy, leading to his imprisonment and eventual execution on Tower Hill in 1535.
