Emperor Yingzong of Ming
Born in Beijing, Emperor Yingzong reigned twice as the Zhengtong and Tianshun emperors. His early reign was marked by the Tumu Crisis, where he was captured by Oirats. After years of house arrest, he reclaimed his throne in a coup and later abolished human sacrifice in royal burials.
