Prescott Sheldon Bush

After graduating from Yale University, he was a businessman and politician who amassed great wealth as a partner at the Wall Street investment bank Brown Brothers Harriman. He served over a decade in the U.S. Senate representing Connecticut and worked closely with President Eisenhower to spearhead initiatives such as the Interstate Highway System. As a core figure of the Eastern Establishment during the Cold War, he held vast connections in business and politics, establishing the power base for the Bush family—one of America's most prominent political dynasties, which later produced a son (41st) and grandson (43rd) as presidents.
