Robert Francis Kennedy

A politician who served as Attorney General and close confidant to JFK, working tirelessly to resolve the Cuban Missile Crisis, dismantle the mafia, and advance the civil rights movement. Following his brother's assassination, he became a U.S. Senator representing New York, passionately advocating against the Vietnam War and defending the rights of the poor and minorities to win widespread national support. With high hopes of securing the presidency in 1968, he became a beacon of liberal hope, but was assassinated shortly after winning the California primary, meeting a tragic end much like his brother.
