William Weatherford
William Weatherford, also known as Red Eagle, was a Red Stick Creek leader during the Creek War. He led the assault on Fort Mims in 1813, but after surrendering to Andrew Jackson in 1814, he advocated for peace and lived out his remaining years as a planter in southern Alabama.
