Nathaniel Bacon: Leader of the 1676 Virginian Rebellion
Born January 2, 1647, in Friston, England, Bacon emigrated to Virginia and joined the Governor's Council. He defied Berkeley by launching unauthorized military campaigns and burning Jamestown before dying of dysentery.
