CPC during World War
CPC
During World War II (Second Sino-Japanese War), the Communist Party of China (CPC), entered a United Front with the Nationalists against Japan. While formally cooperating, the CPC simultaneously expanded its own military capabilities and political influence. Key actions included establishing rural base areas, launching the strategic "Hundred Regiments Offensive," and perfecting its ideology. This wartime expansion crucially prepared the CPC for victory over the Nationalists in the subsequent Civil War, leading to the creation of the People's Republic of China.
