Albert Einstein and Relativity
Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist whose groundbreaking theories transformed humanity's understanding of space, time, and energy. During his "miracle year" in 1905, Einstein published seminal papers on special relativity, the photoelectric effect, and Brownian motion, establishing the mass-energy equivalence equation E=mc². In 1915, he completed the theory of general relativity, proposing that gravity results from the curvature of spacetime caused by mass. Awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics primarily for his work on the photoelectric effect, Einstein later emigrated to the United States in 1933. Beyond physics, he was a dedicated advocate for global peace, disarmament, and humanitarian causes.
