The Rise and Unification of the German Empire
The Era of Revolution reshaped the German lands, culminating in the founding of the German Empire in 1871. Following the Revolutions of 1848, liberalism and nationalism grew alongside Prussian ambitions. This period saw rapid industrialization, social reform, and a delicate balance of European power. However, internal conflicts over religion, socialism, and autocratic rule created long-lasting political tensions.
