Prince Eugene of Savoy: Military Genius
Born in Paris, Prince Eugene of Savoy became one of the greatest military commanders in European history after entering Habsburg service. Serving under three Holy Roman Emperors, he achieved extraordinary victories against the Ottoman Empire at Zenta and Belgrade, effectively securing Habsburg control over Hungary and the Balkans. In the War of the Spanish Succession, he co-commanded Allied forces with the Duke of Marlborough to defeat France at Blenheim and Turin. Beyond his military brilliance, Prince Eugene was an influential diplomat, statesperson, and patron of Baroque architecture, leaving behind Vienna's famed Belvedere Palace.
