Joachim von Ribbentrop
Joachim von Ribbentrop served as Foreign Minister of Nazi Germany from 1938 until 1945, playing a crucial role in shaping Hitler's aggressive foreign policy. He negotiated key diplomatic treaties, including the Anglo-German Naval Agreement, the Anti-Comintern Pact, and the 1939 Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact with the Soviet Union, which paved the way for the invasion of Poland. Through the Foreign Office, Ribbentrop directly facilitated the deportation of Jews from occupied territories to extermination camps. At the Nuremberg Trials, he was convicted of crimes against peace and war crimes, becoming the first executed by hanging in 1946.
