Grandson of the Iron Chancellor and Socialite
Albrecht von Bismarck was a German aristocrat, interior decorator, and aesthete, best known as the grandson of Chancellor Otto von Bismarck and fifth son of Herbert von Bismarck. Affectionately called "Eddie" in high society, he lived through the political upheavals of early 20th-century Europe. His marriage to prominent American socialite Mona von Bismarck brought him widespread international fame across elite social circles in the United States, France, and Italy. Unlike his prominent ancestors, his legacy lies primarily within mid-century international jet-set culture and arts.
