Paul Revere: Midnight Rider of Liberty

Paul Revere (1735–1818) was a Boston-born silversmith and a figure known as a militiaman involved in the American independence movement. Just before the Battles of Lexington and Concord, he became famous for his "Midnight Ride," which urgently warned of the British army's advance, making a major contribution to mobilizing the militia. As a member of the Sons of Liberty, he also participated in anti-British activities. Later succeeding as a businessman, he is remembered as a symbolic figure of the early American independence movement.
