Yang Se-bong and the Revolutionary Army's Resistance

Yang Se-bong

Yang Se-bong was a dedicated armed struggle leader who directed nationalist guerrilla operations against Japanese rule in Manchuria. Rising through independence organizations such as Jeonguibu, he became Supreme Commander of the Korean Revolutionary Army in the late 1920s. Following the 1931 Manchurian Incident, Yang forged crucial alliances with Chinese anti-Japanese volunteer forces to establish a joint Sino-Korean front, securing notable victories at places like Xingjing and Yinglingjie. Despite severe harsh weather, food shortages, and intense Japanese suppression, he persistently maintained guerrilla warfare until he was ambushed and killed by Japanese informers in 1934.
