Daniel Boone
Daniel Boone (1734–1820) was a frontiersman and hunter symbolizing western expansion before and after American independence. He is renowned for exploring the region of present-day Kentucky and carving out the Wilderness Road to facilitate settlement. During the American Revolutionary War, he also served in the militia, contributing to frontier defense.
